2011---DSRP---Student-Photos---13

The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music’s Adult Band Program issecond to none in getting adults who have always wished to learn an instrument playing with others for others. Whether they’ve been playing for decades and need a weekly outlet for their passion, or they’ve just begun their musical journey, The DSRP staff is unparalleled skills and performance opportunities better than anyone around.

Members attend weekly sessions to learn technical skills necessary on their instruments to perform the music they’ve chosen. Weekly rehearsals are where the experienced DSRP staff help to put everyone together and hone things into a polished show. It’s like a bowling league for musicians!

SHOWS:

Members of the program comprise a number of different bands. Some are hobbyists, some are working towards being professionals, but all of them like to have a great time playing and learning music! From weekly rehearsals, to shows at festivals and venues like The Hard Rock Cafe, Arts Beats and Eats, and The Magic Bag, the members of the program enjoy bringing their family and friends out for a great time of music, laughs, food and drinks.
